MIXTAPE

Short, artist curated, HD video recitals of vocal music that spans centuries, cultures, and genres. Like that favorite playlist a friend shares with you to listen to on rainy days, Mixtape is our artists’ love-letter to our audiences: storytelling in a way that feels familiar, with tracks highlighting different facets of their journey. On our release dates, we host collective screenings with a live post-chat with our artists. Tune in for Mixtape for your classical and contemporary musical quick fix!

FO is committed to building access to the arts, regardless of financial means, and representation in opera across communities and cultures. Our MIXTAPE is available to all for FREE, but if you are able, please consider a donation to support future episodes, artist highlights, and our mainstage season. We truly appreciate your generosity, and hope you will share this performance with friends and family.

Festival Opera: Behind the Mask

Festival Opera is thrilled to bring you our new video interview and podcast series, Behind the Mask, demystifying what makes truly engaging opera productions. Artists and collaborators share their stories of blood, sweat, tears, and triumphs in navigating performance careers and their unexpected paths to full-on love affairs with classical music. We embrace creating a platform for discussing current social issues in the context of opera as an industry - exploring the impact of COVID-19, and humanizing the arts. Join us for these approachable, inclusive, humorous, candid conversations - it’s OPERA, UNMASKED.
