The historic Hotel Mac, located in beautiful Point Richmond, was a legendary venue for jazz and other live music in its heyday. After a long closure during the pandemic the Mac reopened with a fantastic new Italian restaurant. Biancoverde hosts Festival Opera at the Mac - a monthly musical residency curated by Festival Opera’s General Director, Zachary Gordin. The series will feel like fun and casual operatic "jam sessions" for the restaurant and bar patrons, bringing favorite opera artists from the Bay Area and beyond to the Mac, performing hits from opera, Broadway, and more. A great way to meet opera, or for die-hard fans to enjoy their favorite arias and duets while sipping and dining!

Since 1911, Hotel Mac has stood as one of Point Richmond’s most iconic buildings. Constructed by Kate Riordan—one of the area’s first female entrepreneurs—this beautifully restored red brick hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its timeless architecture and rich history create a unique ambiance that welcomes guests with charm and warmth. At the heart of this historic landmark is the celebrated restaurant, renowned for bringing authentic Italian flavors to life. From classic pastas to fresh seafood and expertly paired wines, each dish honors tradition while embracing culinary artistry. Dining at Hotel Mac is not just a meal—it’s an experience steeped in history and flavor.

The series launch date is Friday, July 11 from 6:30-8:30 pm, and will continue monthly on first Fridays after that.

No cover charge, but advance reservations are suggested.
